England youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has ended speculation regarding his future by signing a new contract with the Blues.
Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed a deal worth more than £100,000-per-week which will keep him at Stamford Bridge for the next five years.
The 18-year-old, who was strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich in January, made 24 appearances for Chelsea last season under former manager Maurizio Sarri, scoring five goals.
The teenager’s 2018/19 season was cut short when he sadly ruptured his Achilles tendon in Chelsea's 2-2 draw at home to Burnley back in April, but the winger could return to action as early as September.
Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard, who took charge of the Premier League side earlier in July, appears to have played a key role in Hudson-Odoi deciding to stay admitting the Blues youngster is a huge player for his team.
The new Blues boss revealed he is a huge fan of the Englishman’s talent and he is ready to give his young players a chance to shine.
“I am not going to say things that are pie in the sky but, with his his talent, he can be central to this team, he can be central to England.”
“He can show, right here at Chelsea, the team he came through the academy at, that he is going to be a world-class player – because I truly believe that.”
“He knows he has a boss here who wants to work with him to improve.”
