Italian club AS Roma have signed Armenia midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Arsenal and Croatia forward Nikola Kalinic from Atletico Madrid on loan for the rest of the season.

Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined Serie A side AS Roma on a season-long loan deal for £2.7 million.

Micki joined Arsenal in January 2018 from Manchester United in a swap deal involving Chile forward Alexis Sanchez. During his time with the Gunners, the 30-year-old Armenian has made 59 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.

The Armenia international netted 11 goals in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga season for Borussia Dortmund, before moving to United for £39 million in 2016. The midfielder, who has also played for Pyunik and Shakhtar Donetsk, spent 18 months at Old Trafford.

"I am proud to become part of this team and this club. Roma has big history and I am very happy to be here. It’s a great opportunity for me to begin a new chapter, with a great club.” said Armenia's all-time top goal scorer.

AS Roma have also completed the loan signing of former Croatia striker Nikola Kalinic, who will be playing at his third Serie A club after Fiorentina and AC Milan.

The much-travelled 31-year-old Kalinic has also played for Hadjuk Split, Sibenik, Blackburn Rovers and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
