Deportivo goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and UD midfielder Las Palmas Oghenekaro Etebo have been included in the Nigerian preselection led by Germany’s Gernot Rohr for the 2018 World Cup.

Uzoho, goalkeeper of the Fabril, sports subsidiary, debuted this season at LaLiga Santander, against Eibar, while Etebo, signed as reinforcement of the winter market for UD Las Palmas, played 18 games with Paco Jémez’s side.
Nigeria is part of group D of the World Cup, which also make up Argentina, Iceland and Croatia, against which it will debut on June 16, in Kaliningrad.
