Portugal win the first UEFA Nations League defeating Netherlands 1-0

Portugal were crowned champions of the first UEFA Nations League after beating Netherlands in Sunday's final in Porto. The 22-year-old Gonçalo Guedes scored the only goal of the game and it was enough to seal the title as Portugal secured a 1-0 win on home soil.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now won two major international titles with the Portuguese team as the hosts added the inaugural Nations League trophy to their Euro 2016 triumph in France.
Portugal hosted UEFA's newest competition as well as winning the trophy becoming the first European nation to host and win a final of a major competition since France at the 1998 World Cup.
Portugal’s victory denied the Netherlands their first trophy since the 1988 European Championship.
Fernando Santos' side return to Euro 2020 qualifying with a trip to Serbia in September, while Netherlands will face a tough clash against rivals Germany for the Euro qualifiers.
