With the goal, Shane broke the 19-year record set by Ledley King, who scored a goal for his club Tottenham Hotspur in 9.82 seconds in Premier League’s 2000-2001 season, while playing in a match against Bradford City.
Shane currently plays for Southampton F.C. as #9 forward and for the Republic of Ireland national football team as #9 forward.

• Ledley King (Bradford City vs Spurs)
Now retired Spurs defender Ledley King scored a goal in just 9.82 seconds against Bradford City. A little bit of luck and some wrong footwork by Bradford City’s goalkeeper assisted Ledley King to score the fastest goal ever made in Premier League history and set a record that remained unbeatable for 19 years.
His goal contributed to a 3-3 draw between both sides.
Ledley has played 321 matches for Tottenham Hotspur from 1999 to 2012. The Times penned him down as Tottenham's 25th best player of all time in 2009.
• Alan Shearer (Newcastle vs Manchester City)
Alan Shearer is known as one of the greatest strikers of Premier League and Newcastle. The Newcastle star helped his team comfortably win a match against Manchester City in Premier League’s 2002-2003 season by scoring one of the fastest goals recorded in Premier League. Shearer struck the goal in only 10.52 seconds. The final score of the match was 2-0.

• Christian Eriksen (Spurs vs Manchester United)
Christian Eriksen scored a goal in 10.54 seconds for his club Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United in 2017-18 Premier League season.
He is an attacking midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur. He also plays for the Denmark National Team, which he made his debut for in March 2010. The 27 year old was the youngest player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which was held in South Africa.
• Mark Viduka (Charlton vs Leeds)
Australian footballer Mark Viduka also known as ‘The Duke’ scored a quick goal for Leeds while playing against Charlton in 2000-2001 Premier League season. He was never popular for his pace but somehow struck a quick shot for Charlton.
The 6”2’ tall striker used some excellent footwork and pace to have the stadium roaring in his praise as he struck the goal. Mark Viduka scored the goal in 11.90 seconds.
Viduka is one of the few Australian players who are prominent in the Premier League. He is the only Australian footballer to score four goals in the UEFA Champions League.
• Dwight Yorke (Coventry vs Aston Villa)
Tobagonian former footballer Dwight Yorke scored a quick goal for his team Aston Villa while playing against Coventry in Premier League’s 1995-1996 season. He scored the goal in just 12.16 seconds.
Dwight Yorke has appeared for Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, Sydney and Sunderland, as a forward, between the years 1988 and 2009. Yorker has managed Trinidad and Tobago as an assistant manager.
• Chris Sutton (Everton vs Blackburn)
English former footballer Chris Sutton scored a goal that is recorded as one of the fastest goals in history while playing for Blackburn in Premier League’s 1994-1995 season. He scored the goal against Everton in 12.94 seconds. Chris’s quick pace helped Blackburn win the match by putting one behind the net.
Chris Sutton has scored more than 150 goals in his career and made 400 league appearances for 16 years in the English and Scottish Premier Leagues. The former footballer later became a commentator for BT Sport.
• Kevin Nolan (Blackburn vs Bolton Wanderers)
Kevin Nolan while playing for Bolton scored a goal in only 13.48 seconds. The match was against team Blackburn in Premier League’s 2003-2004 season.
The English footballer plays as a midfielder for Bolton Wanderers. He joined the team at the age of 16.
