Messi’s son hilariously trolls dad about Barcelona’s Champions League defeat at Anfield & 'Cheers' for Real Madrid

Lionel Messi has three sons with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo – Thiago (born 2012), Mateo (born 2015) and Ciro (born 2018). During an interview in Argentina, Messi revealed that his middle boy is the ultimate wind-up merchant who uses Jurgen Klopp's side to tease his own father during family kickabouts.

Messi’s season has been fairly underwhelming as the five time Ballon d'Or winner could only lead Barcelona to LaLiga glory, missing out in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

However, the captain of the team explained how his 3-year-old son, Mateo won’t let him forget about those Liverpool and Valencia nightmares.

His younger son Mateo pretended to be Liverpool when they were playing football at home after the Reds defeated the Blaugrana in the Champions League semifinal. He knows how to taunt his father!

Furthermore, Mateo doesn't pass up the opportunity to provoke his older brother, Thiago as he cheers when Real Madrid score to annoy him.

“Mateo loves football, he wears all the shirts.”

Messi said.

“But we played together at home he told me, ‘I’m from Liverpool… they beat you’, he also did it with Valencia (after the Copa del Rey final)… ‘Valencia beat you, I'm from Valencia’.”

The Argentinian added.

“When we’re watching TV he will cheer Madrid’s goals to annoy his brother, he is the one who is a Madrid fan.”

Both Messi’s sons, Thiago and Mateo, are interested in football, but the Barcelona captain has admitted that Mateo has taken a liking to Liverpool after their win over Barcelona.

For now, Lionel Messi is away on international duty with Argentina and is preparing with his teammates hoping to win the upcoming Copa America this summer. If they lose, Mateo may tease his father about another team.

We have to admit that the young boy has got some sense of humor!
