European Championship Betting

It is considered as the little sister of the World Cup, the Euro, or rather, the UEFA European Championship is organised every 4 years since 1960. This time, only the European teams meet for frenzied matches subject to fierce competition. Germany, Spain and France are the three teams to have won this competition as many times, pending the next edition which will take place in 13 different countries to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European competition. Remember Michel Platini, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer, Van Basten, Zidane, and Klinsmann, they all marked the history of the Euro!

The idea of creating a football championship among the European nations goes back to 1927 and was introduced by the secretary of the French federation, Henri Delaunay. If it took more than thirty years for the competition to become a reality, the European trophy is still named today as a tribute to its first designer. We know the principle: every four years, the 24 best nations of European football compete to win the precious cup. In 1960, the first European Cup of Nations was organised in France. At the time, only seventeen teams took part in the competition, which opposes some big names of the football of the time, first of which was Lev Yashin, the mythical USSR goalkeeper. The Soviet federation also won the trophy, beating Yugoslavia in the final (2-1 after extra time). But this first edition was marked by an extra-sporting history: Spain, under Franco domination, refused to let the USSR team play its quarter-final against the Spanish selection that was supposed to host the match. As a result, UEFA gave the victory to the USSR, which allowed the selection to go win its first continental trophy, the only one in its history, still to this day. The history of the Euro was often influenced by the major political events of the century and since the 1964 edition, another team has refused to face its opponent: it is about Greece, who gave up a match against Albania. The two teams to have the most marked history of the Euro Football are Germany and Spain. These two nations have each won three European Championships, and Germany is also the team with the most participation in the competition thanks to its presence in 12 editions. Spain is the only team to win two consecutive championships, in 2008 and 2012. The Iberian team was then invincible on the world football scene, it had also won in the final of the World Cup 2010, thus achieving a three in the historical suite.

Champions League Betting

The Champions League does not only make countries meet but the best clubs in Europe! It is an event that is part of the whole season and we are well aware of the prestige of getting the big-eared cup! While Real Madrid is the most titled club, the competition brings together the best players for exceptional matches every year, as was the 2005 final between Liverpool and AC Milan! The elite of world football plays in the Champions League, so you can not miss this global event.

If there is a competition that makes any fan, bettor, or football player dream, it's the Champions League. Bringing together the best teams in European football, the C1 is the ultimate competition in terms of show and financial challenge.  The extended name of the first version of the C1 appears in 1955. It was at the time the French newspaper "L'Equipe", already the holder of the Tour de France, who set up a strong lobby to organise a competition bringing together the best European clubs. FIFA ultimately attributes the task of organising such a competition to UEFA. The first edition, in 1955, was a great success despite the absence of English clubs, including the Football Association (FA). 16 teams opposed in 1955, including 7 champion teams in their respective countries. The other teams are drawn from the most famous clubs of the time. The formula initially selected sees teams oppose in return matches until the final. Madrid won the first trophy at Parc des Princes in Paris, prefiguring the club's domination over the history of European competition. The Madrilenians won the first 5 editions of the C1, despite the presence of the British with Manchester United. Whichever league or club you favour, everyone meets in front of the Champions League, we say everyone, from fans of Bayern Munich to FC Basel through those of Juventus or Barca and Manchester United! The winner of the Champions League final will be officially crowned European Club Champion and will then meet the Europa League winner in the UEFA Super Cup for the launch of the next season. You can see that everything is connected and that the stakes of the Champions League are enormous for the European football clubs, but also for the players.

Did you know that Sevilla was the most successful club in the history of the competition? And yes, over a period of nine seasons, the Spanish club won four consecutive finals in 2006, 2007, 2014, and 2015. Only Real Madrid has also managed to win two consecutive finals, and this in 1985 and 1986! However, the competition does not seem to be successful for the Portuguese club Benfica Lisbon which is the only club to have lost twice in a row in the finals that took place in 2013 and 2014. The only two European clubs to have managed the double Europa League-Champions League are Liverpool (1976-1977) and FC Porto (2003-2004). The three great personalities to remember about the Europa League are Giovanni Trapattoni who won 3 cups, Henrik Larsson the best scorer of all this competition history with 40 goals scored in 56 matches, and last but not least, Radamel Falcao who scored 17 goals in the 2010-2011 seasons, with FC Porto.

Created in 1932, the Ligue 1 championship takes place in a classic way in the manner of the best European championships. 20 teams compete in round-trip matches throughout a season that starts in the summer and ends in the spring. 38 days to decide who will brandish the trophy and be crowned champion of France. With victories that offer 3 points to the club (1 for the draw and 0 for the defeat), each team will have to keep a constant pace throughout the season or risk being overtaken by more regular clubs. The three worst teams will be allowed to play in the second division: Ligue 2.

Why bet on Ligue 1?

The arrival of the Qataris at Paris Saint-Germain has propelled the club to the rank of undeniable champions in recent seasons with 5 titles in a row since 2013. While the championship was a little neglected by the stars of the ball, PSG recruited big names like Edison Cavani, Angel Di Maria, Thiago Silva, or Marco Verratti. The Ile-de-France club is now the competition's favourite despite losing some league games to the Champions League. The other teams are more like outsiders. Olympique Lyonnais and its new stadium often make a good impression in the championship and can count on experienced players who have chosen to stay at the club. The band in Lacazette could have a say in this championship. With the recent arrival of several investors, Marseille, Lille, and Nice will fight for the first places but could be the surprises of the League. With a scorer like the Italian Mario Balotelli, Nice seems to be armed for success. While the big portfolios are more and more interested in the Ligue1, the arrival of famous football players in France make this championship more indecisive than before. Bet on Ligue 1 thanks to our predictions!
